Sunny Bites Is Back for Summer 2026

When school's out, lunch doesn't stop mattering. JCOC's summer food distribution program returns for Jacksonville families with children 18 and under.

Sunny Bites Is Back for Summer 2026

School's almost out. For a lot of Jacksonville families, that also means school lunch is out — and that matters more than most people realize.

JCOC's Sunny Bites program runs all summer for families with children 18 and under. No enrollment form. No income verification. Just come in during open hours.

What Sunny Bites Provides

Sunny Bites is a summer food distribution program run in partnership with Jacksonville City Schools. It provides food for children and families during the months when kids aren't getting school meals.

Available during JCOC's regular open hours:

  • Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday
  • 10AM – 2PM
  • No appointment needed

Who Can Come

Any family in the Jacksonville area with children 18 and under. That's it. You don't need to prove anything or fill anything out in advance.

If you have a kid who eats — you're welcome here.

How to Help

If things are going well for your family this summer, there are two easy ways to support Sunny Bites:

  1. Sign up for the monthly needs list — we'll tell you exactly what to buy and bring in
  2. Volunteer a morning — show up, sort, and hand things to people who need them

Either one makes a difference. Summer is long and the need is real.
